Centralia Police arrested a 24-year-old Centralia man for multiple offenses after he allegedly drove across the lawn of a home in the 1400 block of South Perrine early Wednesday morning and crashed into a parked pickup truck.
Police say Joshua Scott of South Wall Street was unconscious when they arrived on the scene, but they were eventually able to wake him. They reportedly found an open bottle of beer and liquor in his vehicle.
Scott was ticketed for driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no insurance, and no driver’s license. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Centralia City Fire and Lifestar Ambulance were called to the scene, but Scott refused hospital treatment.
The crash was reported by the homeowner and owner of the truck at 1:53 Wednesday morning.
