Balloon Fest Wristbands for this year’s event in August are now available for sale at businesses in Centralia, Salem, Mt. Vernon, and Sandoval.
The $5 Wristbands must be worn to gain entry into Foundation Park during Balloon Fest. They can be purchased in advance or at the event. Kids six and under have free admission. By purchasing the wristbands in advance, you can skip the lines at the park. The wristband gets you entry into all three days of Balloon Fest. Park hours are being expanded on Sunday and the cardboard boat races will be returning.
The wristbands will be available at Flatlanders General Store, SSM St. Mary’s Gift Shop in Centralia, Farmers State Bank, Greenview Golf Course, C-Town Twist, Castle Ridge, Community Trust Bank, Best Western Hotel and Suites, People’s National Bank (east and west), Melinda’s Cafe and Bistro, the Barking Lot, Centralia Chamber of Commerce, Crooked Creek Winery Downtown, Midland States Bank, US Bank, Land of Lincoln, SSM Health Good Samaritan Gift Shop in Mt. Vernon, Pepsi Mid-America in Mt. Vernon, Salem Travel, Salem Holiday Inn Express and Studio 50.
The chamber has also the Balloon Fest shop at the Centralia Chamber of Commerce office at 210 East Broadway. You’ll find fidget pop-its, a wide variety of stickers of hot air balloons, balloon night light plug-ins, and greeting cards. T-shirts of all sizes are also available for $25 apiece. With two months until Balloon Fest starts on August 19th, there is still a lot of time to get involved as a sponsor, volunteer, or partnering business.
