Five people face felony offenses following arrest over the long 4th of July holiday weekend.
40-year-old Michael Bartley of North Dawley in Salem had bond set at $25,000 on charges of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. He’s accused of impeding the breathing and striking the alleged victim across the face with his hand. The public defender was appointed.
21-year-old Ryan Scott of South Maple in Centralia has been charged with unlawful restraint, two counts of domestic battery, and violation of an order of protection. He’s accused in the unlawful restraint charge of using his arms to prevent the alleged victim from moving. The domestic battery counts accuse him of striking the face and placing the alleged victim into a chokehold. Scott is accused of violation of the order of protection for having direct contact with the victim. Bond was set at $10,000 and the public defender was appointed.
28-year-old Marquise Adams of East 5th in Centralia has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer after allegedly spitting on two officers while being combative when they responded to a report of Adams causing damage to a home on South Perrine Street. He’s also charged with misdemeanor criminal damage to property for allegedly breaking a TV. Police say holes were also punched in the wall and he allegedly threatened to shoot an officer in the head. Bond is set at $25,000 and the public defender is appointed.
38-year-old Brett Alcorn of North Main in Centralia has been charged with felony domestic battery for allegedly pushing a victim on July 2nd. The charge is a felony due to a past conviction. Alcorn was released on $5,000 recognizance bond with the requirement he had no contact with the victim. The public defender was appointed.
41-year-old Curtis Scott of Nebraska Avenue in Sandoval has been charged with aggravated domestic battery for allegedly impeding the breathing of a victim. He faces an extended-term sentence if convicted.
