Police Beat for Wednesday, July 6th, 2022

A Central City man has been arrested by Central City Police for alleged domestic battery and battery.   Mark Gates of South Commercial Street was taken to the Marion County Jail.

35-year-old Jonathan Downs of Phelps Road in Walnut Hill was taken to jail after being arrested by Centralia Police for violation of an order of protection.

24-year-old Romy McAlexander of Dover Street in Centralia was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on outstanding Marion and Clinton County felony warrants.  Bond is set at $20,000 on the Marion County warrant issued in a possession of meth precursor conviction and $10,000 on the Clinton County warrant on a pending forgery charge.

38-year-old Hailey Shuw of South Jackson in Newton was arrested by Wamac Police on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant.  Bond is set at $5,000.

34-year-old Shelonda Shackleford of Frazier Street in Centralia was arrested by Wamac Police on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant on a pending possession of methamphetamine charge.  Bond is set at $15,000.

38-year-old Annette Lynn of Jeanne Drive in Salem was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant.  She posted $1,500 cash bond and was released.

A 38-year-old Salem woman was arrested for DUI after getting back into her car after Salem Police were called to a complaint of a woman sitting in the parking lot of the Marion County Law Enforcement Center.  Salem Police say Lindrie Cushman-Whewell of West Sanger was taken inside the jail after allegedly being found to be under the influence of drugs.
