A 20-year-old resident of the Hoyleton Children’s Home has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to a misdemeanor battery charge in exchange for five felony aggravated battery charges to a police officer or school official being dropped.
Isaiah Shelton faced charges in connection with two incidents at the Centralia High School Annex.
He was placed on two years probation, ordered to undergo drug and alcohol counseling and random drug testing after entering the battery plea.
Shelton had been charged in January with two counts of aggravated battery to Centralia Police Officers and a single count of aggravated battery to a school official. In the earlier incident last year, he was charged with two additional aggravated battery to a school employee.
