Eva Mae West, 87, of Kinmundy, IL passed away June 23, 2023, at her home in the loving care of her family.sutherlandfuneralhome.com
Born November 13, 1935, in St. Elmo, IL she was the daughter of Virgil R. and Alice G. (Whitt) Potter. She married Jack D. Mulvaney in 1953, and later married Donald Richard West at Mt. Vernon, IL in 1974. Eva attended the Christ Church in Effingham, Illinois. She first worked for Brown Shoe Company in Salem for 13 years. Later she worked for Donnie Thompson Processing in Kinmundy for 20 years, and her last job was in retail at CVS Pharmacy in Salem, IL for 14 years. She will be remembered by her family for loving her grandbabies, loving country music and dancing, for her gardening and canning skills and how they looked forward to her efforts sharing the items as Christmas gifts. Surviving are her children, Mark R. Mulvaney and wife Brenda, Vernon D. Mulvaney and wife Tracy, Brenda M. Johnson and husband John and Alice Marie Mulvaney all of Kinmundy, IL. Also her grandchildren Tracy Mulvaney, Jessica Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, Tina Marie McLean, and Becky Hiestand; her great-grandchildren Samantha, Cameron, Eli, Ethan, Blake, Joshua, Jordan, Gillian, and Olivia. Also her great-great-grandchildren, Elliott, Nova, Braydon, Ammarie, Julieann, and Reagan. Also left to mourn her passing are her brother Robert D. Potter and wife Atonya of Farina, IL, and brother-in-law Nolan Wooden of Kinmundy, IL. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Berle Potter, Lawrence Potter, and Iva Faye Wooden along with her dear friend Kenny Krutsinger. The family invites you to gather with them at 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Elder Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL with Pastor Jeff Michael officiating. Visiting hours will be from 10 am until 12:30 pm on Tuesday at the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home in Salem, IL (618)548-1234, entrusted with the family’s care.
