Charles Parker Williams, 62, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 10:35 pm June 14, 2023, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
He was born July 29, 1960, in Carbondale, Illinois to the late Roger Williams and Janice (Miller) Weld. Charles married Linda (Walker) Williams on December 19, 2015, in West Frankfort, Illinois.
In addition to his beloved wife, Charles is survived by his sons, Rob Chwarczinski of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Matthew Williams and wife Threasa of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Bryon Zebacia Williams of Missouri, Lewis Parker Williams of Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Kerry Williams and wife, Gina of Florida; sister, Janilynn Weld-Dalles and husband, John of Indiana; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his stepfather, Eugene Weld, and brother, Byron Albert Weld.
Charles enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, older rock music, reading, and camping. Above all, he loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held Monday, June 19, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 11:00 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois with Mr. Tom Hunter officiating. Interment will follow.
