The City of Centralia will be helping residents collect downed trees and tree limbs from the Friday morning line of severe thunderstorms.
You are asked to place any limbs you have from your property at the front of your property along the main roadway and the Public Works Department will collect them over the next several days.
City crews are working to clear the trees over the next 24 to 48 hours, but with the number of trees down, the process will take time and the city asks for everyone’s patience.
Emergency crews have been out Friday morning trying to reopen streets closed by downed trees, tree limbs and power lines.
If you have any questions, please contact the office of the City Manager at (618) 533-7623.
