Kyle Eugene Malkey, 39, of Salem, Illinois passed away at his home on June 8, 2023.sutherlandfuneralhome.com
Born February 2, 1984, in Centralia, Illinois, he was the son of Thomas E. Padberg and Sherri Jean Malkey. His mother preceded him in death. Kyles’s bright and contagious smile made life a better place for everyone. He will always be remembered for having an unconditional love for his family and loyal friends. His kindness to all will never be forgotten by all those he touched throughout his life, and he also had a very special love for his dogs. His memberships included Marion Masonic Lodge #130. Kyle had a strong loving bond with his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Martha “Janie” Malkey who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Louis and Bernice Padberg. Surviving are his twin sisters Melissa Wiehle and husband Jake of Iuka, IL, and Brittany Malkey of Plano, TX, and his much loved “little princesses,” Graceyn and Quinn Wiehle. Also his Aunts and Uncles Debbie Ruholl and Diane Smith both of Iuka, IL, Connie Costanga of Wisconsin, Carol Wilson of Clinton, MO, Trudy Malkey of Springfield, IL, and Gina Brown of Salem, along with Larry Padberg of Springfield, MO, Bob Padberg and wife Janet and Carolyn Foster all of Salem, IL. Also many cousins and dear friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 16, 2023, in the chapel of Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home with Josh Conley officiating. The family with gather to meet friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the service hour. Burial will follow in the Zion Grove Cemetery, Kell, Illinois.
