Police Beat for Monday, June 13th, 2022

An 18-year-old homeless Centralia man has been arrested on multiple charges. Centralia Police took Demonte Agnew into custody for illegal possession of weapon by a felon, burglary, theft, and obstructing identification.

Four others were arrested on outstanding warrants.

  • 58-year-old Ronald Kniker of North Pine in Centralia was arrested by Wamac Police on a Marion County traffic failure to appear warrant. He remained in custody in lieu of $2,500 bond.
  • 34-year-old Andrea Patton of West 2nd in Pana was arrested on a Jefferson County failure to appear misdemeanor warrant. Bond is $10,000. Patton was later moved to the Jefferson County Jail.
  • 39-year-old Daniel Murray of North Maple in Centralia was arrested by State Police on a Williamson County traffic warrant. He remained in custody in lieu of $2,500 bond.
  • 48-year-old Steven Linder of North Elm in Centralia was arrested by State Police on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant. He remained in custody in lieu of $2,500.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a $6,500 Red Big Dog Zero Turn mower taken from a home n the 2500 block of Red Stripe Road in rural Odin either Friday or Saturday night.  A resident in the 600 block of Camp Street in Iuka reported Sunday night his home was entered and items moved around but nothing taken.
