Carolyn “Sue” Kirgan, 81, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:13 pm June 8, 2023, peacefully at her home.
She was born July 20, 1941, in Centralia, Illinois to the late Jesse and Lenora (Nelson) Davidson. Sue married Larry Kirgan on September 5, 1961. They were blessed with nearly 53 years of marriage before his passing on May 1, 2014.
Sue is survived by her children, Gail Laskowski and husband, Tim of Coulterville, Illinois, Karen Grawe and husband, Steve of Hoffman, Illinois, Rodney Kirgan and wife, Sharon of Richview, Illinois, Dwayne Kirgan and wife, Jerlin of Nashville, Illinois, and Kevin Kirgan and wife, Sarah of DuBois, Illinois; grandchildren, Nicole Laskowski and significant other, Colin, Erica Elrod and husband, Justin, Joshua Logan and wife, Ashley, Jason Grawe, Christopher Grawe and significant other, Kim, Anthony Kirgan and wife, Emily, Danielle Meier and husband, Jordan, Caitlin Kirgan and significant other, Troy, Jeremhike Kirgan, Christian Schlichter, Trace Kirgan, and Raven Kirgan; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Alyssa, Keytin, Harper, Richie, and Blair; sisters, Shirley Fisher and Donna Goldman, both of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Harley Fisher.
