A 41-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police for aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, and unlawful restraint. Todd Gormann of East Calumet was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.
37-year-old Richard Burkett of South Maple in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police and taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged domestic battery and resisting arrest.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called to the McDonald’s Restaurant on West Main Street around five Saturday morning for smoke in the building. The problem was traced to the ice cream machine. Firemen say there was no actual fire and the smoke haze disintegrated after power was disconnected to the machine.
