The Salem Elks Lodge #1678 and Trail Life Troop #262 have announced plans for their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony for ten am next Saturday, June 11th, on the grounds of the Salem Elks.
This very solemn ceremony is held across the country near the Flag Day Holiday, June 14.
The Salem Elks Lodge and Trail Life Troop #262, formerly the Boy Scouts, are in the process of collecting U.S. Flags as well as other ceremonial flags needing to be retired.
Flags can be brought to the Salem Elks Lobby before June 11 or you may call 548-3087 and arrangements can be made for collection.
