A 42-year-old Centralia woman has been charged with three counts of felony theft for allegedly sending nearly $1,400 to herself from another person’s phone that had Facebook Pay hooked to her debit card.
Kelly Schuchmann of D’Ann Drive is accused of borrowing the phone from another person who used to be a family member through marriage to reportedly use it to find her lost phone. During the time Schuchmann allegedly had the phone she made payments to herself of $400, $487, and $500.
The charges are Class Four felonies because Schuchmann had a prior theft conviction.
Bond for Schuchmann was set at $20,000 and the public defender was appointed to represent her.
