A 19-year-old Kinmundy man has been charged in Marion County Court with felony resisting arrest and criminal trespass to land following an incident outside Lynnwood Estates on Roddy Road in Salem Tuesday night.
Salem Police say Devin Schmiedeke of Heritage Drive was allegedly screaming at a reported girlfriend working at the facility.
After allegedly refusing to leave, a Salem police officer attempted to handcuff Schmiedeke. The court charge says he pulled his hand away during a struggle resulting in the officer sustaining an injury.
Bond for Schniedeke was set at $5,000. If released on bond, he was ordered to have no contact with Lynnwood Estates or the person inside he reportedly was screaming at. A public defender was appointed to represent him. A preliminary hearing was set for June 14th.
