A 27-year-old Kell man has been sentenced to a total of four years in prison after failing to complete Marion County Drug Court.
Zachary Higgins of Morton Lane had earlier pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of ammunition and possession of a controlled substance to get into the drug court program. Higgins was arrested separately on each charge by Centralia Police last year.
Judge Mark Stedelin gave Higgins a two-year prison term on each conviction and ordered they be served consecutively. He’ll have to complete two years of parole when getting out of prison.
