The Christ Our Rock Boys Silver Stallions Track and Field Team had a great day at The Jared Morris Invitational Meet at Nashville, IL.
The Stallions were lead by 2 outstanding performances by Sophomore Elijah Gregory winning both the 3200 meter run and the 1600 meter run. Gregory recorded his personal best time of the season in both running a 11:17 in the 3200 and breaking the 5 minute mark in the mile in a time of 4:57.
His teammate Zerek Koch also ran well placing 3rd and medaling in the 3200 and placed 6th in the 1600 meter run as well!
Isaiah Lyons also had a strong day for the Stallions placing 5th in the Long Jump and 800 meter run and 4th in the Triple Jump! Mason Brink took home 3rd in the Triple Jump and Hayden Torrence placed 6th in the Discus and 5th in Shot Put. Thomas Taylor set a PR in the 800 in 2:27.2 finishing 7th.
Coach Tim Koch told WJBD/WSIQ “it was a great tune up for Wednesdays IHSA sectional meet at Fairfield HS for our team!”
