At the Little League Complex in boys Majors, Americana fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 6-2 loss to Rotary on Monday. Americana scored when Cameron Slater drew a bases loaded walk. Rotary answered with a Zane Applegate RBI hit. Lance Nix was the pitcher for Americana going 2.2 allowing 4 runs on 4 hits and struckout 7. Owen Tennyson and Drake Rector had multi-hit games for Americana. For Rotary, Trent Shelton had a single, triple and scored, Jaxson Ward added a hit and 2 runs, Applegate had 3 hits and a run and Kai Graham added a single.
In girls majors, Dairy Queen beat Bandy’s 10-6. Grace Rau had a hit, run and RBI; Kinsley Gansauer had 2 hits and 2 runs, Kara Patton added 2 hits and a run with an RBI, Penelope Flanagan hit a singl and drove in a run. Gia Ward was the pitcher striking out 4 and also adding a hit and RBI, Ava Reed had a hit with Ella lee, Lilliana Meyers also drove in a run.
Modern Woodman beat Marion County Savings Bank 7-4. In the win, Quinn Wolfe had 11 strikeouts. Bria Murray struck out 7 in the loss.
In girls coach pitch All State beat Rural King 9-4. Adalyn Reynolds had a hit and RBI in the win. Julianna Rushing, Briah Henseler, Graci Green, Abbi Haines, Ally Pryor and Gwen Goostree had multiple hits in the win. Jayla Tabor and Kaylee Carroll had multiple hits in the loss.
