The Salem 9u played at the O’Fallon, Missouri GMB Tournament and came away with the championship beating the Junior Statesmen 12-8. EJ Wolfe went 3-4 with 3 runs and an RBI, Jacob Butts had 2 hits and drove in 4, Isaac Knaap 3 hits and drove in 3 with Izac Heinzman adding 2 RBI.
Salem beat the Alpha Squad in the semifinals 13-5. Butts finished with 4 RBI going 3-3 with 2 runs scored, Knaap drove in 2 runs.
Salem was coming off an 0-2 day on Saturday losing to the Illinois Gators 11-10 and losing to the St Louis Redbirds 12-3.
