UNDATED (AP) — The Golden State Warriors have played themselves into the NBA’s Western Conference finals.
Klay Thompson knocked down eight 3-pointers on the way to 30 points in the Warriors’ 110-96 victory over Memphis. Stephen Curry scored 29 with six 3s, making two baskets late in the third quarter to put the Warriors ahead.
Draymond Green contributed 14 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists. Andrew Wiggins scored 10 of his 18 points in the fourth, including a pair of timely 3s.
Dillon Brooks hit a big baseline 3 with 8:02 left and scored 30 points with a career-best seven 3-pointers for the Grizzlies.
The Celtics are heading back to Boston, and they are bringing the Milwaukee Bucks with them.
The Celts have forced a seventh game in the Eastern Conference semifinal series with a 108-95 win at Milwaukee. Jayson Tatum furnished 46 points for the Celtics in a scoring duel with Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with 44 points, 20 rebounds and six assists.
Jaylen Brown scored 22 and Marcus Smart had 21 for Boston, which was 17 of 43 from 3-point range.
Milwaukee went on an 11-1 run to get within 85-81 with 8:42 left before Boston became the third straight road team to win in the series.
Celtics forward-center Robert Williams missed his third straight game with an injured left knee.
