Regional championships were played for in 1a girls soccer yesterday. Belleville Althoff beat Father McGivney 5-1 in Belleville; Mater Dei beat Central in Breese 2-1; Piasa Southwestern over the hosts at Carlinville 2-0; Greenville fell at home to Marquette 7-1.
Today Murphysboro will host Freeburg and Columbia is at Waterloo Gibault.
