Salem scored 3 times in the 5th inning to extend a precarious 1 run lead. Griffin Day, Charlie Hunter, Blane Phillips and Aden Susmena each doubled with Phillips and Susmena driving in 2 runs each. Hunter and Brogan Gregg added RBI with Gregg going 3-3. Carter Rose had a hit and scored 2 runs.
Tyler Tanner was the winning pitcher scattering 10 hits and allowing 2 earned runs. Freshmen Noah Nix worked an inning in his first varsity action allowing 1 hit, no runs and had a strikeout.
