State Police arrested two Northern Illinois men on possession of controlled substance charges following a traffic stop on I-57. Alvaro Rodriquez of Northlake and 35-year-old Aldo Garcia-Ortiz were both taken to the Marion County Jail but were released pending receipt of tests on the drugs confiscated.
43-year-old Laycee Yarbrough of North Elm in Centralia was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bond after being formally charged in Marion County Court with two counts of domestic battery. She is accused of throwing a can of butane at one family member and allegedly striking another in the head with her hand. As part of the bond release, Yarbrough was ordered to have no contact with the victims, residence, or place of employment.
35-year-old Ryan Harris of Thompsonville was transported back from Indiana on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant in a pending felony theft case. He was being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
28-year-old Amber Tolliver of South Franklin in Salem was arrested on a felony probation violation in a pending possession of methamphetamine case.
