Police Beat for Thursday, May 12th, 2022

A 35-year-old Centralia woman was arrested by the FBI on an outstanding federal warrant. Tiffany Powell of North Maple was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Salem Police arrested 31-year-old Joshua Wesselman of Foxville Road in Kell on an outstanding Marion County felony petition to revoke his probation on an aggravated domestic battery conviction. Wesselman was taken into custody following a traffic stop at Miller and Boone Street. He was also ticketed for driving on a suspended license. Wesselman remains in the Marion County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

31-year-old Zachary Hanks of North Broadway in Centralia was taken to the Marion County Jail by sheriff’s deputies for violation of bail bond.

33-year-old Jolee Graham of South Maple in Salem was arrested by Salem Police for resisting arrest and criminal damage to property after she allegedly went to the home of a neighbor where she had been banned. Graham was given a notice to appear.

53-year-old David Mercer of State Route 161 in Centralia was given a notice to appear after being arrested by Centralia Police on a battery charge.

34-year-old Ryan McCarty of Front Street in Iuka was arrested by Salem Police for failure to appear in court on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge. He posted $500 bond and was released.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating two thefts. The Shop on Main Street in Walnut Hill reported padlocks cut off their building and new tires were stolen out of the boxes. A resident in the 2700 block of State Route 37 in Salem reported two boxes of horse tools and medication stolen. The missing items are valued at over $500.
