The Capital Development Board has announced a $3,215,000 project at the Centralia Correctional Center to replace the fire alarm system throughout the facility.

State Senator Jason Plummer and State Representative Charlie Meier both commended the investment.

The project is one of 14 totaling over $46-million being announced for state facilities in the Metro-East and Southern Illinois.  The CDB says the projects will help address deferred maintenance projects at state agencies that have been stalled due to a lack of investment by previous administrations and are part of the Governor’s bipartisan capital plan which is the first in nearly a decade.
