In the National Trail Conference 3rd place game, South Central beat Altamont in a stellar high school softball game 2-0. The Lady Cougars outhit the Lady Indians 3-1 with Taegan Webster working all 7 innings allowing just the one hit and one walk while striking out 13. Halle Smith singled home 2 runs for SC while they also got hits from Laney Webster and Lilly Malone. SC is 16-9 overall and will host Flora and Salem tomorrow with SC v. Flora at 4 and SC v. Salem at 5:30.
