The first ever senior sunset was held for the Salem Community High School Class of 2022 Sunday night.
The event was planned so seniors could spend the evening before their last day of school together. The event was held on the track.
A group of five senior girls, Emma Tyberendt, Kailey Brubaker, Mariah Webster, Sydney Donoho, and Katelyn Biegelesien helped to plan the event with sponsor, Kari Thackrey.
The night was spent playing on 2 large inflatables as well as competitions such as 3 legged race, tug-o-war, 100 m dash, cornhole, and pie eating contest. Winners of each event would receive a ticket. At the end of the evening, the committee of 5 girls drew names from the bucket and the seniors were able to choose between many wonderful gifts donated by many businesses throughout Salem and surrounding areas.
