Over the weekend, North Clay couldn’t quite overcome a 10-run deficit as they dropped a game at home to Shelbyville 10-8. Collyn Ballard and Brady Ingram homered with Ballard adding a double and drove home four. Ingram added 2 RBI and Logan Fleener also drove in a run. Carson Burkett took the loss going 3.1 allowing 8 hits and 9 earned runs. Alex Boose and Bryton Griffy worked the final 3.2.
The SC Cougars start their final regular season week of baseball with a trip to Neoga this afternoon.
