Centralia City Manager Kory Smith says the city will advertise nationally as well as locally for a new Police Chief to replace Greg Dodson who is retiring on Friday.
Smith plans to use local papers, law enforcement postings, and Indeed among others to find the best candidates.
He’s hoping for a quick process in interviewing top candidates and making a selection of a new chief.
Lieutenant Steve Whritenour was named Acting Chief by Smith until a new chief is selected.
