The Salem Lady Cats added a game on the road at Vandalia yesterday and earned an 8-1 win. Bre Thurman was the winning pitcher striking out 7. Lauren Burge hit her first varsity home run and also had 9 assists in the field at 2nd base. Lilly Blagoue hit her 5th home run of the year and added an RBI double.
The JV also won their innings after the varsity game 10-1. Burge was great in the circle allowing no runners. Rylee Lawson added an RBI double.
The Lady Wildcats return to action this afternoon at Tully Park hosting Roxana.
The SC Lady Cougars dropped their NTC Tournament semifinal to Windsor/Stew Stras 9-1. Brooklyn Garrett doubled and Jaylyn Michel singled home a run for the only 2 hits for SC. They fall to 15-9 and will take on Altamont tomorrow in the 3rd place game.
