North Clay improved to 23-3 with a 10-2 win on the road at Teutopolis. Collyn Ballard homered twice, including a grand slam, as he drove in 7. Bryton Griffy homered as well as he drove in 2. Carson Burkett added an RBI with Holden Clifton and Dakota Weidner singled and scored. Brady Ingram singled and Layton Dawkins and Donnie Zimmerman added 2 runs each. Zimmerman was the winning pitcher going all 7 allowing 4 hits and 2 runs with 7 strikeouts. North Clay gets a showdown with top ranked Breese Central in Louisville this afternoon.
Christ Our Rock beat Metro East Lutheran 6-4 in Centralia. Parker Boehne drove in 3 runs to lead the Stallions. Myles Pryor, Mari King and Christian Nollman added RBI. Jayden Bazile was the winning pitcher going 5.1 allowing 11 hits and 4 runs.
