After a tough weekend at Highland, Salem returns to baseball action today when they host Wood River in Cahokia Conference play. Salem enters at 9-19 overall and 2-4 in the League. They beat Wood River back on April 12 on the road 7-1.
The Salem JV will host the JV Oilers at the Little League Complex.
After going 1-1 at the weather shortened Centralia Tournament over the weekend, the South Central Cougars continue their tough spring schedule with a trip to Windsor/Stew Stras and head coach and former Cougar Brett Harmeier.
Yesterday, Christ Our Rock beat Wayne City 10-0 in five innings. Omari King and Christian Nollman doubled with Colton Oelze adding a triple. Nollman, King, Oelze, Landon Isaiah and Myles Pryor all added RBI. Pryor was the winning pitcher going all 5 innings allowing just 1 hit and struck out 9.
