The Salem Wildcats dropped a pair of games at Highland on Saturday.

Salem opened with a heartbreaking 13-12 walk-off loss to Collinsville.  The Wildcats led 11-2 after scoring 9 times in the 3rd inning.  But Collinsville cut that deficit to 13-9 with 5 runs in the fourth.  After a leadoff single in the bottom of the 7th, the Cats pitching would walk 5 and hit 2 more in allowing Collinsville to score 4 to earn the win.  Isaak Williams went 4-5 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored as he continued his hot hitting.  Hunter Daniels was 2-2 with 2 runs and 2 RBI and Blane Phillips tripled and drove in 2.  Salem also got RBI from Brogan Gregg and Gavin Zimmermann who tripled.

Salem then fell to Highland 11-1 in five innings.  Brogan Gregg went 3-3 and drove in the only run in the loss.  Carter Rose was 2-2 with a run and Charlie Hunter and Josh Powless also had hits.  Salem is 9-19 overall as they get set to host Wood River tomorrow, South Central Wednesday and Roxana on Thursday before getting this weekend off for Prom.
