The Salem 11u competed at the Edwardsville GMB over the weekend. Salem dropped their Sunday opening game in bracket play to the 11u Recruits 14-4. Zane Applegate, Bentley Bryan and Owen Tennyson each doubled with RBI from Bryan, Applegate, Kai Graham and Tripp Garden. Trygg Aaron also singled and scored.
The tournament opened up on Saturday with a win over the Diamond Stars 16-2. Salem got 2 RBI from Bryan, Tennyson and Drew Consolino with Jax Schaubert driving in 3 runs. Salem also got RBI from Applegate, Graham, Jared Crompton, Kellen Nix and Trygg Aaron. Tripp Garden singled and scored, Rhett Starnes scored twice and Aaron scored 3 runs.
Salem also beat the Extreme Paarlberg 18-3. Garden drove in 3 with 2 RBI each from Graham, Consolino, Rhett Starnes and Nix. Aaron and Applegate added RBI. Bryan scored, Schaubert and Tennyson scored 2 runs each with Jared Crompton driving in a run and scoring twice and Aaron also drove in a run.
