Centralia Police arrested a 22-year-old Centralia man on Sunday for alleged domestic battery. Ian Anderson of East Kerr was taken to the Marion County Jail.
44-year-old Steven Wathan of Valbert Street in Flora was returned to the Marion County Jail by Clay County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor failure to appear in court warrant.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary to a garage in the 2000 block of Lakeshore Drive in Centralia. A chainsaw and multiple hand tools were reported missing.
Centralia City Firemen were called out Monday morning to put out a fire in a dead 60-foot tall oak tree in the 500 block of South Maple Street. Firemen believe the tree caught fire as a result of a landscape waste fire on Sunday.
