About 30 volunteers showed up to help clean up Bryan Memorial Park on Saturday as part of the 34th Annual Cleanup organized by Keep Salem Beautiful.
Coordinator Rita Boudet says she was pleased with the turnout.
” Surprisingly with all the rain it turned out really well. We had about 30 children and adults. The rain started and then afterwards the sun came out and it has been a really productive day. I want to thank all the residents that came out.”
Boudet extremely pleased to see a mother who participated as a child bringing her daughter out to help.
About 13 trash cans full of litter and debris were collected. The strangest item may have been a pair of pants found abandoned in the Nature Trail Area.
