The Salem Lady Wildcats dropped their home game against Freeburg 12-2. Salem’s offense came in the form of a 2-run homer from freshman Lilly Blagoue. Maya Susmena doubled in the first inning for the only other Salem hit. The Salem Lady Wildcats will host the SC Lady Cougars at Tully Park this afternoon starting with the first pitch at 4:30.
The Lady Cougars enter with a record of 14-7 after yesterday’s 3-0 win over South Central. Taegan Webster tossed the 1-hit shutout while striking out 10. At the plate, she had a single, double and home run, Kaitlyn Swift drove in a run with Brooklyn Garret, Laney Webster, Lilly Malone, Halle Smith and Kyra Swift all adding singles.
