On one of the few good track days of the year in terms of the weather, the Franklin Park track team took advantage setting 96 PR’s on the day.
Salem also set a new school record as Morgan Mickens broke the discus record going 154’11”. He also was 1st in the shot put, Angel Salgado won the long jump, Ryegan Warren won the high jump returning from injury, the 4×200 team of Trey Clark, Avery and Payton Gullion and Madden Thompson won their event, Salem’s Payton Gullion won the 400m in a PR time of 58.79, Robbie Shober won the mile in 5:05, Kylar King won the 6th grade 100, Clark the 7th grade and Angel Salgado the 8th grade race. Alex Spencer won the 800m in a PR of 2:21 with Salgado winning the 200m and the 4×400 team of Gullion, Gullion, Shober and Hunter Malan finished 1st in a PR time of 4:13.17.
Finishing 2nd for the Cats was Noah Timm in the shot, Clark in the discus, Eli Lograsso long jump, Madden Thompson and Avery Gullion in the high jump, Isaiah Findley pole vault, Spencer hurdles, Malan in the 400, Spencer in the mile, Scout Puricelli 6th grade 100, Thompson 7th grade and Hudson Gambill 8th grade 100, Malan 800 and Clark in the 200.
The girls got a win in the shot by Marah Johnson, Hannah Smith won the discus, Kenzie Jarrett the long jump, Finley Puricelli won the high jump, Aubrey Bandy won the pole vault, Addi Bullard the hurdles and the grade 100. Kendal Zimmerman won the mile and the 800, Maddie Dulaney the 6th grade 100.
Finishing 2nd for the Lady Bobcats were Smith in the shot, Brylee Pennypacker in the discus, Brianna Redenbo long jump, Jordan Kessler high jump, Ruthie Hays the pole vault, Kessler 400, Ella Robinson mile, Kourtney Garrison 6th grade 100, Pennypacker in the 7th grade race Robinson in the 800 and Brubaker in the 200.
Salem will host the Class L Regional Meet on Wednesday at SCHS.
