A 28-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Salem Police for domestic battery, aggravated assault, and violation of bail bond. Ethan Futhey of East McMackin reportedly was involved in a fight with a former girlfriend and later chased her across the Salem Police Department parking lot while holding a knife.
A 36-year-old Dix man was taken to the Marion County Jail by Centralia Police for aggravated domestic battery, unlawful restraint, and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. Gregory Bryan of North Tinsley is accused of choking and getting on top of a woman at a home in the 1400 block of South Poplar. The alleged victim was able to get away but was choked when Bryan allegedly caught up with her on the Centralia Recreation Center Parking Lot. Bryan also allegedly refused to let the woman call for help.
Salem Police arrested 32-year-old Jeffrey Gallatin of North Walnut in Centralia on an outstanding failure to appear warrant on a felony weapons possession charge. He reportedly was located outside a boarded-up house in the 800 block of North Hamilton where police had been called to investigate suspicious activity around the home. The bond on the warrant was set at $20,000.
A 54-year-old Sandoval man turned himself in on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant on a domestic battery conviction. Johnny Bosler is being held in the Marion County Jail in lieu of $3,500 bond.
