Centralia Police arrested two people who reportedly jumped out of a car and attacked a third woman as she sat on her front porch during the noon hour on Wednesday.
23-year-old Megan Alvey of Bicknell Street in Centralia and a 14-year-old female juvenile from Centralia reportedly struck the victim, Brittany Stephens of the 400 block of South Hickory Street, in the head with a crowbar or some other type of tool. Stephens was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Alvey was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and taken to the Marion County Jail. The juvenile was given a notice to appear.
The two arrested had allegedly been involved in an earlier incident with Stephens.
