After a more than year long process and delays, the Marion County Board’s website is now on line and already being expanded.
Board member Wes Gozia headed the committee that was assigned to resolve issues and get the project completed.
“County board member information listed by district. They can figure out who is in their district and how to contact them. We also have each of our separate committees listed. We have a section for our agenda and minutes. We don’t have a whole lot uploaded there today because the site just went live, but we will be expanding that.”
Gozia says there is more to come.
“Due to the help of the Circuit Clerk with some funding, the site is already in the expansion process to include all the other county offices so we will have a singular place people can go and find out what kind of services Marion County offers.”
Gozia says plans are to also provide live video streaming of the county board meetings as well as video and audio archives of the meetings. There is also a form to submit for Freedom of Information requests.
