The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department reports a 51-year-old Marion man was injured in a single car crash on the Richview Road east of Casey Pike late Monday morning.
The driver of the car, Danny Riley, reportedly ran off the north side of the road, continued down the roadside ditch, went airborne after hitting a driveway, and rolled multiple times before the car came to rest on its top.
Riley had to be extricated by the Jefferson Fire Protection District and was transported by Litton’s Ambulance to the Logan Street Baptist Church parking lot where he was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.
There were no passengers. The crash occurred at 11:13 Monday morning.
