Wildcats Head To Columbia….SC Falls To TTown

The Salem Wildcats enter today’s Cahokia Conference matchup at Columbia with 8-15 overall record.  They are looking to improve on their 2-4 conference mark.  The Cats fell to the Eagles at home 8-0 back on April 7th.  The Salem JV will play at home.

The SC Cougars fell to TTown on the road 5-1.  Aidan Dodson worked the first 5 innings getting the loss allowing 5 hits and 4 earned runs with 9 strikeouts.  Spencer Johannes worked the final inning.  At the plate, Beau Jolliff drove in the Cougars run as they outhit the Shoes 6-5.  Anthony Buonaura went 2-3 for the Cougars with hits also from Chase Thompson, Jolliff, Andrew Magnus and Brandt Hiestand.  Thomppson scored the SC run.

The Mount Vernon Rams went 3-0 at the Dinger Wood Bat Tournament beating Graves County, Kentucky 4-0, Windsor, Missouri 7-1 and Crittenden County, Kentucky 12-0 all over the weekend.
