Police Beat for Tuesday, April 26th, 2022

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 41-year-old Gray Alvin of South 24th Street in Mt. Vernon for obstructing justice after he allegedly gave a false name. Alvin later posted $150 bond and was released from the county jail.

71-year-old Linda Bockhol of South 18th in Mt. Vernon was arrested by Wamac Police on a 2002 Marion County traffic warrant. She remained in custody in lieu of $5,000 bond.

25-year-old Justice Carpenter of Sesser was returned by prisoner transport on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant. Carpenter is being held in lieu of $3,000 bond.

43-year-old Richard May of Chicago is being held without bond on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant in an aggravated unlawful use of weapon conviction that earlier resulted in a three year prison term.

Salem Police arrested 33-year-old Anthony Arnold of West Lake in Salem for criminal trespass to state supported property. Arnold was allegedly located on Marion County Housing Authority property when they responded to a domestic disturbance Monday morning. Arnold was given a notice to appear in court.

Foster Township has reported various road signs stolen from along Mona, Barry, and Gray Roads over the weekend.
