Centralia Police say both drivers were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital following a head-on crash on the 1300 block of East Calumet Friday morning.
The drivers are identified as 40-year-old Chad Boyce of South Johnson in Centralia and 29-year-old Erin Witzel of Orchard Drive in Centralia. Reports are incomplete on how the crash occurred.
Centralia City Firemen had to extricate one of the drivers after his door would not open, while both were moved to ambulances via backboards.
The crash occurred at 7:59 Friday morning.
