Odin/Patoka/Sandoval beat Webber 15-3 extending their winning streak to 4 games. Carmen Wilderman and Rheagan Rollinson each had2 hits while Lauren Robb, Hailey Lane, Trista Moore, Amiah Wallace, Makayla Gebke and Macey Spicer also had hits. Spicer was the winning pitcher striking out 8 as the Lady Eagles are 6-5 on the year and 2-1 in the Midland Trail. They travel to Clay City today for another conference showdown.
The SC Lady Cougars improved to 11-5 with a dominant 15-0 win over Ramsey in four innings. Taegan Webster had 3 hits and 2 RBI, Kaitlin Swift had 3 hits including a double and a RBI, Brooklyn Garrett doubled, tripled and drove in 4, Ryleigh Swartzlander added a 2 run single, Jaylyn Michel singled and doubled along with Abi Shuler who drove in a run. Kyra Swift had 2 hits including a double and an RBI. Ella Watwood singled as well. SC will play at Neoga today.
Breese Central and Mater Dei softball battled through the rain, cold and wind and in a game that lasted more than 3 hours, both teams played to a 13-13 tie when the game was called after seven innings due to unplayable field conditions. Adi Foutch had 4 hits including 2 doubles and a home run for Central. Julianna Huber and Alyse Monken also hit home runs. All 3 were h it in a 10 run fifth inning that put Central up 12-7. Katy Huels had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, for Mater Dei.
