A 55-year-old Bluford man was injured when the semi he was driving left Illinois Route 37 in Goreville in deep Southern Illinois Monday morning.
State Police say preliminary investigative details indicate Rogers Smith was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 37 when he left the road and struck a ditch embankment.
Smith was flown to a regional hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Smith was ticketed for improper lane usage.
The crash occurred at 10:45 Monday morning.
