The Salem Lady Cats won their 4th straight with a 9-8 hard fought, gritty win over Nashville on the road. Makenna Smith was great with her 3rd win of the week as she struck out 5. She also went 2-2 with a 2-run homer. Miranda Podergois hit her first home run of the year, a 3-run shot. Olivia Paulson added 2 RBI and Maya Susmena scored 2 runs. Salem also laid down 4 successful sacrifice bunts from Susmena, Avery Bass and 2 from Ally Roberts.
The SC Lady Cougars are 9-4 after a 15-0 win at home over Webber Township. Taegan Webster was the winner tossing the 1-hit shutout. At the plate, Abi Shuler drove in 3 with Kylie Swift adding 2 RBI. SC Also got runs driven in by Kaitlyn Swift and Ryleigh Swartzlander Lilly Malone stayed hot for SC as she drove in 3 runs as well. SC will host TTown on Monday.
