Washington County Coroner Mark Styninger has identified a deceased person found at the scene of a vehicle fire in the St. Michael’s Cemetery near Radom.
The victim is 75-year-old Genevieve Barciszewski.
Styninger says identification was made through dental records.
Barciszewski was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:21 Wednesday afternoon by the coroner. An autopsy was conducted in O’Fallon on Thursday, but the cause of death is pending awaiting further test results.
Styninger says the death investigation continues by his office, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Illinois State Fire Marshall’s office.
