Salem grad and Cubs minor league lefty Riley Martin had his best outing as a professional last night as his Myrtle Beach Pelicans fell to the Augusta Green Jackets 1-0 in Carolina League action. Martin came in relief and worked 4.2 scoreless innings with no hits allowed as he struck out 8. Martin was also named the Reliever of the Day for the Pelicans. He currently has worked in 2 games totaling 6 innings allowing 1 hit and 2 runs with 10 strikeouts to only 2 walks.
